Everyone loves Santa Claus. This big, whitehaired, bearded man, brings us hope and joy in a season where everything is dark and cold. He makes everyone smile, adults as well as children, and I scarcely think any of us can imagine a christmas, or indeed a world, without him. However, like is the case with so many celebrities, Santa Claus is debated and discussed.
One of the big questions, is where Santa lives. This issue is such a hot potato, that it actually has created a rift between the three northern countries who claim that they alone are the home of Father Christmas.
The countries involved are Sweden, Finland and the North Pole.
These three countries have a long standing traditon of cooperation and brotherhood, except when it comes to this. The question of where Santa really lives, is threatening to destroy the relationship between these countries for good.
In order to try and deflate the situation, we hereby give Sweden, Finland and the North Pole the chance to plead their case and leave you, the reader, to decide which is more convincing. We are trusting you to carefully examine each country’s case and then place your vote.
The country that gets the most votes will be bestowed with the honourable title ”The home of Santa Claus”. We hope that in doing so, we will be able to put this matter to rest once and for all. This is your chance to heal a wound that has been open for far too long! So vote, the fate of the peace of the North depends on it!
