Santa lives in Sweden

We hereby want to present our case, to prove that it is in the fair country of Sweden, that Santa Claus resides. First of all, Sweden has always been at the forefront of Europe. We have been an inspiration technically, spiritually but more to the point, culturally. Who amongst us would want to live in a world without the stories of unforgettable Swedish author, the legendary Astrid Lindgren? The tales told by her, has inspired an children everywhere. Santa recognised this when he chose his home; he wanted to live where life was just like in Lindgren’s stories. He chose therefore to live in the wonderful, heavenly country that is Sweden. As far as we know, no Finnish author has ever spellbound so many children with his or her books. We also strongly question the Northpolians’ ability to write books at all. Neither of those countries have not, nor will ever be the cultural inspiration that Santa Claus wants his home country to be.

swedish santaSecondly, the established image of Santa Claus, the big rotund man in the red coat and big boots, is a Swedish ”invention”. The very first Coca-cola Santa was drawn by a Swedish artist, and this image is the one that the whole world has accepted as the ”real” Santa. How could this unknown man from the small country of Sweden have done this, if not for the fact that he has seen Santa, if Santa was not Swedish. We would like all of you to take a minute and consider this fact. We also point out that no Finnish nor Northpolian artist has ever made an image of Santa Claus, that the rest of the world considers to be true.

Finally, Sweden is the country where the reindeer is held. There is an entire people in sweden, called Samer, whose lives revolve around reindeer. They were the suppliers of Santa’s original reindeer and have through the years never failed in bringing him the best of the species, to help him carry out his gifts, making the world a better place. Why would he settle down anywhere else?

We have made it possible to question the validity of our claim; Santa lives and works deep in the Swedish forests, far from the prying eyes of the public, but close enough to be able to be inspired by our greatness and helped by our giving citizens. So don’t make liars out of us, there is only one answer to the question: ”Where does Santa live?”. The answer is Sweden, which is what we are sure you will say, when you vote!
